About the Role
Due to continued growth, R1 Construction have a position available for an Architectural Technician / Technical Draughtsperson at our Head Office, in Shropshire.
We are seeking an individual to join our small but expanding team in Shrewsbury to help deliver an exciting range of projects which include both refurbishment & new build projects.
The sectors we operate within include Education, Residential, Healthcare and Commercial Projects.
Architectural Design Technician Position Overview:
- Production of Building Models, Plans, and Elevations.
- Preparation of design packages for Planning Applications.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed construction drawings for Site Construction & Building Regulations approval.
- Creation of component schedules for estimating & purchasing.
- Undertaking Site Surveys & Inspections.
- Consultation with other design professionals/suppliers to coordinate construction design.
- Carrying out assigned duties efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
Requirements
HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or similar.
Proficient use of both Autodesk AutoCAD & Revit (Min. 4 Yrs experience).
Minimum 3 Years’ experience working within a UK design office.
Have an understanding of the planning process and a good knowledge of the current building regulations.
Previous experience working within the appropriate sectors.
Sound Technological knowledge of building detailing with both modern methods of construction & traditional construction materials.
Ability to work on multiple projects and able to manage time efficiently
Enthusiasm with the desire to progress and grow with the company.
Keen interest in sustainable design.
Driving License
