R1 Construction is one of only a handful of building contractors dedicated to working within the education sector.
Dealing with any construction related project in an education environment can be both stressful and challenging to the daily operation of a school, and often causes disruption.
R1 Construction specialise in delivering both new build and refurbishment projects within the education sector. We offer a wide variety of services and construction solutions to offer extremely high levels of quality and finishes, whilst keeping disruption to an absolute minimum.
Dependent upon the scale of a scheme it is often not viable to complete a project within the summer holiday period, and therefore managing the delivery in live school time is something we excel in.
All our staff are enhanced DBS checked, and we ensure any building works are fully segregated and secure with heras fencing and debris netting to obsure views. In addition, we provide our own self-contained welfare facilities to mitigate any interaction with, or use of the school facilities.
R1 Construction also offer full construction support, with no obligation to the client for some construction phases. This includes:
- Preliminary project designs (no client obligation)
- Detailed project costings (no client obligation)
- Detailed project specification (no client obligation)
- Planning applications and pre-construction surveys
- Off-site manufacture
- On-site construction phase
- Full internal and external fit out and finishes
- Mechanical and electrical fit out
- External hard and soft landscaping
- Testing and commissioning
- Practical completion and handover
These no obligation pre-construction services may be particularly helpful when you are applying for CIF capital funding, or looking to maximise the use of your capital expenditure and avoid consultancy fees.
If you are considering a new build, have you considered a SIPS building system? A SIPS system enables a traditional specification and quality building to be delivered in a very short on site construction programme. You can find out more about SIPS by clicking here
